On May 25, Advent’s SVP of Corporate Business Development, Dr. Nora Gourdoupi, joined a panel of esteemed stakeholders from the Greek hydrogen community at the Balkan Energy Forum in Kozani, Greece, for a discussion titled “The Hydrogen Market: Developments and Opportunities.” Dr. Gourdoupi showcased the distinctive features of Advent’s HT-PEM fuel cell technology and highlighted its transformative potential. She detailed the objectives of Advent’s strategic collaborations with Siemens Energy in marine, Airbus in aerospace, Hyundai Motor Company in heavy-duty automotive, and the U.S. Army for human-portable fuel cells. Dr. Gourdoupi also mentioned the ongoing effective cooperation between the company and Greece’s Just Transition Special Authority, noting that despite delays in the Green HiPo IPCEI project, the company anticipates receiving the initial €24 million grant to launch the project in Kozani, Greece, soon. Additionally, Dr. Gourdoupi discussed the numerous opportunities that can be unlocked by enhancing synergies between companies and academia. She emphasized the importance of educating the public on how developing the hydrogen economy in Europe can pave the way towards net-zero emissions while also ensuring energy independence for nations.
