Advent Technologies is building the future in green energy and seeking detail-oriented technicians with strong hands-on electromechanical skills for fuel cell assembly, test stand operation, and cell performance assessment with occasional debugging. High quality mechanical assembly skills and an unwavering attention to detail are critical for success in this position. Familiarity with compressed gas handling and experience troubleshooting and correcting compressed gas and fluid leaks is helpful. The ideal candidate must also understand basic electrical theory and be comfortable operating a range of electrical and mechanical test instrumentation including resistance and volt meters, programmable load banks, mass flow controllers, heater controllers, as well as classical mechanical testing equipment such as tensile testers, hydraulic presses, thickness gauges, etc. Demonstrated equipment troubleshooting skills are highly valued. Prior experience handling fuel cell membrane electrode assemblies and successfully building these into stacks is helpful but not required, and experience programming PLCs and manipulating data using Excel to assess cell performance may be beneficial.
Candidates with an AS or AAS degree in electrical or mechanical technologies, or those with BS degrees in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or chemistry are particularly encouraged to apply.
